The session will review the leading federal tax developments of December 2021, featuring a pair of cases where a spouse was deemed to participate in a joint return despite not signing the return or e-file authorization. We discuss a rare taxpayer victory on whether an activity was engaged in for profit–in this case, miniature donkeys. Finally, what happens if you say you revoked an S election, but can’t find the revocation?
