Course Description

Being an accountant is nerdy, professional ethics is a particularly nerdy topic, and now we’re doubling down (tripling down?) on the nerdiness by adding Dungeons & Dragons to the mix. In this webinar we will debate which D&D character alignment is ideal for CPAs, discuss research that illuminates how cash transactions affect ethical behavior both positively and negatively, and dive into the dark side of our hourly rates by looking at ways in which the hourly billing model primes us to act unethically.

Learning Objectives:

  • Distinguish the difference between legal behavior and ethical behavior

  • Evaluate how cash transactions affect ethical behavior

  • Express the ways in which the hourly billing model can prime us for unethical behavior
